The assignment is mainly composed of two elements:
1) A pumping station: a big pump that, following a coarse filtering of the waste waters, lifts the sewage to treatment plant. It’s an underground large tank for collecting and filtering raw waters that is placed in the river Adige’s valley.
2) The treatment plant that treats waste water and returns them as clean water. It is a huge building containing large and very complex equipment. The treatment plant is located close to the base of the mountain, partially covering the site of a previous quarry and will be completely covered with earth.
The peculiar position of the works required a special attention to the landscape.

The WWTP treats civil sewage (150,000 E. Inh with future upgrading to 300,000 E.Inh) and is characterized by the following sections: clarification, biological treatment with high-performance systems and tertiary treatment.
