The hospital is composed by a Main building (12 floors) and a Medical building (8 floors). The design purpose is to review the external cladding in relation to the new plant engineering and redesign all interior spaces, interior layout and furniture of the following areas: MAIN BUILDING [Main Entrance; Cafeteria; Lobby; Typical Public toilette; Typical Internal corridor; VIP Lounge; Restaurant; Typical Sigle room; Typical Double room; Typical Nurse station; VIP room; Royal suite; Presidential suite; OR; Pharmacy; Typical Lab; ICU] and MEDICAL BUILDING [Main Entrance; Typical Public toilette; Waiting area; Typical Internal corridor; Cafeteria; Clinic (ifc, chemio, Opd, dental, radio, lab)] , in order to improve the aesthetic as well as the orientation of patients and the visibility of vertical and horizontal connection.
The aim of giving an overall image of a friendly place, in which patients can fell like home. This sensation can be recreated by using specific elements of the Egyptian style, i.e. wood decorations. The project improves the comfort for the patients by using functional facilities (i.e. using ergonomics seats in waiting areas instead of the existing one) and the usability of the public spaces by the redesign of the adjacent external areas, creating outer spaces integrated with the greenery. The Cafeteria should also be reorganized, segregating areas for patients from public areas.
