The project is particularly important and complex because it includes the design of 4 complete new structures for Tuscany Region arising from the need to solve the problem of obsolete, overcrowded structures that prevent harmonious relations between the citizen and the health service, and to
guarantee appropriate levels of care in terms of both quality and quantity. The objectives are to increase surgical and endoscopic operations in day hospital and in the doctor’s surgery, to increase intensive therapies, to decrease laboratory tests thanks to more sophisticated diagnostics in general and by using computer technologies, and to remove limitations as regards the proximity of basic functions.
